Memo of Understanding The US Federation of Philippine American Chambers of Commerce Inc., headed by its President Yolanda Ortega-Stern (seated from left) and Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (ARMM) Governor Nur Misuari (seated center), recently signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) in Davao City, Philippines. The MOU will provide the basis for trade, investment, and information technology assistance that the Federation will extend to Mindanao. Also witnessing the ceremony are FPACC executive vice president Celia Donahue (seated right). Standing (from left) are Moro National Liberation Front (MNLF) official George Asi: MNLF legal counsel Randolf Parcasio; and Federation officials - Dennis Villanueva (Vice President, Trade and Investment); Jossie Alegre (Executive Director); Mars David, Director of California Coalition of Philippine American Chambers of Commerce, and Ed Orpina, (Vice President, Global Communications). The event took place at the Insular Hotel in Davao City, Philippines during the recently concluded 22nd Philippine Business Conference.

Incorporated in 1997, it bridges US Philippines trade and commerce, promotes goodwill and mutually beneficial projects between the two countries. It holds an annual conference in the US and one trade mission a year to the Philippines. It currently has several major Memorandums of Agreement with major Public and Private sector departments of the Philippines, including a major one with the US-SBA. |
